Methodology

To support the development of groundbreaking ideas and projects, a comprehensive training program focused on health innovations is essential. This training methodology emphasizes the importance of multidisciplinary teams, group mentoring, theoretical-practical sessions, breakfasts with recognized speakers, and the opportunity for participants to work on and develop their own ideas and projects.

Multidisciplinary Teams

Multidisciplinary Teams

The training program begins by forming multidisciplinary teams comprising individuals from diverse backgrounds, such as medicine, engineering, design, business, and technology. This approach encourages the blending of different perspectives, expertise, and skill sets, enabling teams to tackle complex healthcare challenges from various angles. By leveraging the collective intelligence and diverse knowledge of team members, the training cultivates an environment conducive to innovative thinking.

Group mentoring

Group mentoring

Group mentoring plays a vital role in the training methodology. Seasoned professionals and experts in health innovation serve as mentors, guiding and supporting the teams throughout the program. Mentors provide valuable insights, share their experiences, and help participants refine their ideas and projects. The mentorship aspect fosters a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement, empowering participants to develop their innovative ideas with the guidance of industry veterans.

Theoretical-Practical Sessions

Theoretical-Practical Sessions

The training curriculum includes theoretical-practical sessions that combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on activities. These sessions cover a wide range of topics, including emerging technologies in healthcare, design thinking methodologies, regulatory considerations, entrepreneurship, and project management. By providing a balance between theory and practice, participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the innovation process and the skills necessary to navigate the challenges in the healthcare industry.

Breakfasts with Recognized Speakers

Breakfasts with Recognized Speakers

To inspire and motivate participants, the training program incorporates breakfast sessions featuring renowned speakers who have made significant contributions to health innovations. These speakers share their success stories, challenges faced, and valuable lessons learned, providing participants with real-world insights and tangible examples. The breakfast sessions also facilitate networking opportunities, allowing participants to connect with industry leaders and build valuable relationships.

Working on and developing own ideas/projects

Working on and developing own ideas/projects

Central to the training methodology is the opportunity for participants to work on and develop their own ideas and projects. Throughout the program, teams receive guidance and feedback from mentors, enabling them to refine their concepts, conduct market research, create prototypes, and develop business models. This hands-on approach empowers participants to transform their innovative ideas into tangible solutions that address real-world healthcare needs.

The training on health innovation is designed to be a stimulating and rewarding experience that fosters creativity, collaboration and learning among participants.

Thanks to iRaise blended programme, participating teams will be able to enjoy working alongside other participants and trainers. They will benefit from the opportunity to upgrade their learning experience through distance-learning mentoring and by joining online learning groups (as the Campus Kick Off, the joint seminar and the final iRaise event). And let’s not forget the star session of this campus which consists of having iRaise trainers ‘virtually’ visiting each of the participating teams at their own facilities and working with them towards the definition of the adequate vehicle(s) to address their specific unmet needs.
